UK Transplant have recently published a national hospital policy on organ
and tissue donation entitled "United Kingdom Hospital Policy for Organ
and Tissue Donation".
The launch of this policy coincided with the launch of the Department of Health transplant framework document - Saving Lives Valuing Donors
Copies of the hospital policy have been sent to all chief executives in
acute trusts throughout the country as well as to all donor transplant co-ordinator teams.
