Our Society members are mainly national scientific societies of intensive and critical care medicine but we also have a membership category which recognises multinatiional societies. When considering membership applications from new societies, Council uses the following criteria to assess each application:
The Society membership should primarily be intensive care practitioners.
The Society has a formal constitution to guide its affairs.
The Society can provide evidence of the growth and development of critical care medicine within its geographic region or in its intensive care speciality via conferences/congress/refresher courses.
The Society has sufficient number of professional members.
