Future World Congress venues announced

Following the announcement earlier this year that future World Congress will move to a biennial frequency, the following Societies have been selected to host World Congress:

2015 12th World Congress KOREA  (Korean Society of Critical Care Medicine)
2017 13th World Congress BRAZIL  (Associacao de Medicina Intensiva Brasileira)

In announcing the results at a meeting of Council in Cartagena, Columbia, World Federation President Dr Edgar Jimenez commented on the various bids presented:

“While each bid emphasised the specific qualities of the host Society and the proposed location, they all addressed the fundamental requirements which Council had identified as important in the final selection of future World Congress. I hope we can all work together in the spirit of collaboration which is a hallmark of the World Federation and support our colleagues to deliver two spectacular World Congress in 2015 and 2017”.
